Sunday So-shull

I love this linkup because it gives me the chance to slowly-but-surely spill the beans about my life.  So, here goes.

1.  What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

Probably what I'm doing right now.  Sit around in my pjs blogging.  Or reading.  But, it has to be a really good book that will keep my attention because I tend to get really sleepy when it rains.

2.  What is your favorite thing to do on a summer weekend?

Travel!  I take a lot of mini-vacays during the summer.  Usually I just head on quick weekend trips to places that aren't too far from home.  Some of my favorite quick getaways are Atlanta, Fairhope, AL, New Orleans, Savannah....

Last summer, I went to Germany for 3 weeks.  I've been planning to post on that for forever.  Maybe I'll get around to it one of these days...

Here's a teaser:

3.  What is your favorite spring activity?

Does shopping count?  I love when brighter colors and patterns start to make an appearance again, so shopping is definitely up there.  I also love traveling during the spring because the temperature is so great.  Bike riding is also up there (in Seaside, of course).

4.  What is your favorite way to spend a winter day?

Definitely bundled up in a thick blanket, sipping coffee, and watching a movie.  Or...baking. :)

5.  What is your favorite season and why?

Fall, fall, fall, fall, fall.  Love it!  The crisp feeling in the air, pumpkin spice lattes, scarves, football weekends, Thanksgiving, baking, apple pie.  EVERYTHING.  I love everything about it.

6.  What is the best birthday you ever had?

Wow, I'm not sure.  Probably my 12th.  My family took a vacation out west a few weeks before my birthday, and we spent one day in Mexico, shopping and eating.  We ate lunch at an outdoor cafe, where a mariachi band walked around playing to entertain the diners.  My parents pulled them aside, told them it was almost my birthday, and they serenaded me in Spanish while we ate.  I was so embarrassed at the time, but, thinking back, it's a pretty fun story and a great memory.

  1. I would LOVE to go to Germany! When my father was in the Army, he was stationed there & he always talks about going back...maybe one of these days he'll take us with!

  5. I'm still in my pajamas, haha! I took them off briefly to go to brunch this morning but then put them right back on when I got home! Rainy days definitely call for jammies all day!

    1. Nashville is amazing, too! I was actually going to take a quick trip up there next week, but it didn't end up working out. Atlanta it is, instead. :)
