A Baby Boy and Pinterest

One of my very best and most precious friends is pregnant with her second baby.  As soon as she called me with the news, I asked to host her baby shower.  Five years ago, I was able to throw her shower for baby numero uno, and it was so much fun.  That was around the time I decided that I completely loved planning parties (and seriously contemplated a major career change).  Not because I pulled off some ridiculously amazing event but because it was just so much stinkin' fun.

Me and Karen (Wow!  We were babies!)

Shower '08

A bit girly?  Yes, I think so.

I have to say, I am thrilled beyond belief to have the opportunity to host for round two.  However....it's a boy.  Now, don't misunderstand, I am so very happy that she's having a boy.  Boys are precious and adorable and cuddly.  But, let's be honest, the planning and prepping is just not as much fun.  In fact, I had basically already decided on all the decor and gift buying decisions until I got that phone call last Monday throwing my ideas completely off course.

That's where you (and Pinterest) come in.  I've hosted wedding and baby showers before, but I've never held a shower for a boy.  I need help, my friends.  I'm not really looking to host any kind of "theme."  I just want something that is simple but memorable.

I'm linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple for Oh, How Pinteresting!

Here are some of my shower pins...let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for how to pull this off!

As you can probably tell, my ideas are all over the place. Been there, done that? Help a girl out!

Also, I'd love to have you follow me along on My Pinterest Page!  I'm a bit obsessed...
